Late night: Thursday

The Brompton Design District programme will have its biggest dedicated space yet this year, taking over three, terraced, four-storey buildings on Cromwell Place.   Here visitors will encounter Other Stories - alternative perspectives on design, a spotlight on the radical thinking behind some of today’s design practices and projects.

Building on Brompton’s reputation for showcasing experimental design, Brompton’s curator Jane Withers, illuminates groundbreaking practices whose work is driving change and supporting social responsibility, by creating new systems to cope with contemporary challenges.  Visionary economists, activist groups and social enterprises are appearing from Prague to Arnhem, from Tel Aviv to London.  All have unexpected stories to tell about the changes that design can make.

Visitors to the District will also be able to visit pop-up installations by inspirational designers and makers responding to the alternative perspectives theme, as well as catching up on the latest trends from Brompton’s leading design retailers.

Their Late night opening was Thursday 22 September, 6–8pm
